Job summary

Greene King is offering an Apprentice Chef position within its Chef and Brewer pubs. This work-based apprenticeship lets you learn by doing, with a mentor on site and a Lifetime Learner Coach guiding you through the programme.

Training includes Functional Skills in English and maths, four Masterclasses in cooking, and quarterly reviews over 1 year 3 months. The role requires a 20-hour minimum week with shifts in evenings and weekends, and no college attendance is required.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship pathway with work-based training and on‑site mentor support.
• Opportunity to obtain Functional Skills in English and maths with tailored help.
• Regular reviews every 12 weeks with supervisor and Lifetime Learner Coach.
• Join the Chef Academy with masterclasses covering four cooking areas.
