Apprentice Actuarial Technician – The Role:
Actuaries help solve financial problems by applying maths and computer skills to model real world risks. Actuaries price car insurance, help companies decide how much to pay into pensions, and act in the public interest on big issues like climate change.
This apprenticeship will give you a grounding in the basic techniques of actuarial work, leading to a Level 4 Actuarial Technician qualification which may take 2-3 years to complete. If you have the aptitude and enjoy helping others by explaining complex things in a simple way, you’ll then have the option to progress further and qualify as an actuary.
The role is based in our actuarial team which provides consultancy services to pension schemes. You’ll work with our expert actuaries to help our clients meet their goals. You’ll receive support to complete the apprenticeship including funding for the qualification, training, and time away from work to study.
If you are interested in this opportunity and wish to have a confidential conversation about the scope and expectations, please contact ewan.wood@broadstone.co.uk.
Broadstone reserves the right to close our vacancies early and will endeavour to respond to all applicants. However, if for any reason you have not heard back within 28 days of applying, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
