We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Level 3 Rail Engineering Apprentice to join our dynamic Transpire team.

Job Title:Rail Engineering Apprentice

Duration: 39 months

Working Hours: Mon -Fri, 08:00am – 16:00pm some night and weekend work may be required.

Location:Amey Rail -TRU West, Gorton Road Depot, Manchester, M11 2DZ

What You’ll Do:

  • Construction, installation, renewal, enhancement, and modification of the Railway.
  • Attend briefings on technical updates.
  • Assisting in material preparation for upcoming site work
  • Supporting site construction activities under the supervision of the Construction Manager / Senior Engineer.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and quality of installation and maintain site records
  • Adhering strictly to Zero Code procedures and working methodologies
  • The role is one based in an office / site office environment.
  • It is a requirement of the role to attend site on a regular basis (including nights and weekends).

What You’ll Bring:

Qualifications

  • The apprenticeship entry requirements will be determined by Amey in collaboration with the academicdelivery partner.
  • England based applicants will typically require at least 5 GCSEs at Grades A*-C / 9-
    4 including Maths (Grade B / 5 or 6), English and Science or their equivalent.
  • Applicants based inScotland, Wales or Northern Ireland should expect to demonstrate an equivalent level of academicqualifications to those required in England.
  • Are willing to apply all safety requirements when carrying out work.
  • Are willing to attend training courses and fully participate in activities and related assessments.
  • Are willing to maximise learning opportunities through work.
  • Are willing to successfully complete their Apprenticeship course.
