Job summary

Viper Applied Science in the United Kingdom is seeking an Application Engineer to join our highly technical engineering team. The role blends technical customer support with software validation and development of scientific applications for advanced simulation software.

You will work with a senior team to become an expert user, help customers solve challenging engineering problems, and contribute to validation, demonstrations, and training across the UK and overseas.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in industry or research using explicit FE software.
• Experience with LS-DYNA or IMPETUS Afea preferred.
• Familiarity with HyperMesh, Python, ParaView or CFD an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers evaluating or deploying our software.
• Developing validation and benchmark studies for new software capabilities.
• Producing technical demonstrations and application notes.
• Delivering software training in the UK and overseas.
• Supporting consulting projects involving blast, structural dynamics and fluid-structure interaction.
• Working alongside the development team to validate and improve future software releases.
