Job summary

Gerrell & Hard Limited in Hampshire is seeking an Applied Scientist to join the Acoustic Signatures team. You will help understand, model and predict the acoustic behaviour of underwater systems and environments, tackling hands-on problems through physics, mathematics, simulation, experimentation and software development.

You'll collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop analytical and computational models, analyze experimental data and turn scientific insight into practical

Qualifications

• Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or related STEM field.
• Strong Python skills and good understanding of fluid mechanics.
• MSc or PhD and knowledge of Python and C++ are valued.

Responsibilities

• Build analytical and computational models to understand acoustic behavior.
• Analyze experimental data and turn insights into engineering solutions.
• Engage in simulation, algorithm development and software tooling.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on subsea technology projects.
