Job summary

Tods Technology Ltd. in the United Kingdom seeks a Subject Matter Expert in underwater acoustics and sonar systems to lead acoustic analysis and development activities.

You will report to the Innovation & Technology Director and the Head of Engineering, coordinating bid support and customer meetings as needed. Based at our Portland premises, with potential relocation to other UK or international facilities, you will manage the Development Test Centre and drive acoustic software maintenance and

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with ongoing professional training.
• Extensive acoustic analysis experience including software use and development.
• Experience with fibre reinforced composites for sonar and acoustic damping materials and manufacturing.
• Ability to create innovative designs meeting demanding specs and budgets; mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to the acoustics design team.
• Develop core acoustic expertise and design tools.
• Ensure acoustic development plans align with the technology roadmap.
• Support sales with specialist acoustic engineering for inquiries.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Maintain and validate acoustic analysis software.
