Job summary

TechChain Talent is seeking a senior engineering leader to coach a small team of PhD-level robotics software engineers and own day-to-day delivery. You will articulate strategic roadmaps, unblock teams, and maintain strong interfaces with hardware, customer success and operations on live robot deployments.

You will remain technically credible, contributing to architecture while prioritising people growth, hiring, and environment where teams thrive. This role is based in London, largely on site.

Qualifications

• Experience leading senior software engineers, including researchers with PhDs or deep technical backgrounds.
• Strong architecture and system design skills across software and hardware interfaces.
• Ability to translate strategy into a clear roadmap and unblock teams when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of senior robotics software engineers including PhD specialists.
• Own delivery by turning strategy into a credible roadmap and keeping the team aligned.
• Collaborate with hardware, customer success and operations to ensure aligned priorities.
