Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced Applied AI Product Engineer in London to design, build, and scale AI-powered internal products and automation solutions. This hands-on engineering role focuses on applying AI to solve complex business challenges, building data workflows, and developing self-service tools.

You will work across the full product lifecycle with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to transform ambiguous requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Software Engineering, Product Engineering, ML Engineering, or similar hands-on technical role.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end technical products from concept through launch and iteration.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or PHP.
• Experience building APIs, backend services, data pipelines, or full-stack applications.
• Strong understanding of testing, observability, debugging, and production support.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain internal products and integrations.
• Develop data workflows and automation solutions that improve operational efficiency.
• Create evaluation frameworks and feedback loops for AI-powered workflows.
• Transform prototypes and one-off solutions into scalable, reusable capabilities.
• Implement production engineering best practices including testing, observability, and reliability monitoring.
• Measure product adoption, quality improvements, and operational impact.
• Produce technical documentation and onboarding resources.
• Manage multiple technical workstreams and make informed trade-off decisions based on business impact and complexity.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operational stakeholders.
