Job summary

Hackajob Ltd. is hiring an Applied AI Engineer for the Markets Operations domain to build production-ready AI services and infrastructure. You will collaborate across engineers, AI specialists, and operations partners to translate processes into practical AI solutions for banking workflows.

Responsibilities include designing scalable AI services, integrating with strategic systems, and ensuring reliability, security, and compliance in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs (e.g., FastAPI).
• Experience building ETL and data pipelines.
• Experience Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD.
• Experience designing databases and data models.
• Experience with monitoring and production controls/compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Ability to collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams and incorporate feedback.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture patterns enabling AI solutions across Markets Operations and software engineering use cases.
• Build and enhance robust, scalable AI services and supporting infrastructure using modern technologies.
• Collaborate with AI and data science specialists to design, develop, test, and deploy services integrated with strategic systems.
• Translate Markets Operations processes into practical AI solutions for banking operations systems.
• Evaluate new AI infrastructure technologies and share findings to inform decisions.
• Document designs, implementation details, and tradeoffs for maintainability.
• Support scalability, reliability, and security of AI/ML solutions in production, focusing on operational readiness.
• Partner with operations stakeholders to address workflow pain points with technology.
