Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Applied AI Engineer for Markets Operations. You will design, build, test, and deploy scalable AI services integrated with core systems, bridging cutting-edge techniques with enterprise-grade software.

You will work with engineers, AI specialists, and operations partners to improve workflows, controls, and the software development lifecycle, focusing on Python services, APIs, data pipelines, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs (e.g., FastAPI).
• Build and support ETL and data pipelines.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and work in CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and integrate databases and data models.
• Apply monitoring practices and understand production controls and compliance.
• Clear written and verbal communication; collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture patterns enabling AI solutions across Markets Operations and software engineering use cases.
• Build scalable AI services and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with AI/data science to deploy services integrated with strategic systems.
• Learn Markets Operations processes and translate into practical integrations.
• Evaluate new AI infrastructure technologies and share findings.
• Document designs and tradeoffs for maintainability.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of AI/ML in production.
