Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to work with fast-growing companies, architecting and evaluating Claude-based solutions. You will be the technical advisor for customer teams, contribute to prototypes and reference architectures, and translate learnings into product feedback.

You will collaborate with Account Executives and Applied AI Architects, ship hands-on code, and contribute to evaluation frameworks and technical content that helps builders succeed with

Qualifications

• 4+ years as Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder.
• Experience in a customer-facing or pre-sales technical role.
• Production experience building LLM-powered apps including prompting and deployment.
• Strong Python programming skills and production experience.
• Experience with high-growth tech companies.
• Ability to context-switch across industries and use cases.
• Ships products and can discuss implementation from experience.
• Strong technical communication to translate AI concepts into architecture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a deep technical advisor to high-growth, tech-forward companies.
• Work hands-on with customer engineering teams: pair programming and architecture reviews.
• Develop prototypes and technical documentation enabling customers to scale with Claude.
• Collaborate with Applied AI Architects to maintain continuity across engagements.
• Identify patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering teams.
• Create developer-focused content: documentation, tutorials, sample code.
• Lead and participate in hackathons, webinars, and developer events.
• Travel to customer sites for workshops and relationship-building.
