Job summary

Redshore, a global manufacturer of machining centres, is seeking an Applications Engineer for its Coventry-based team. The role focuses on Milling, offering pre- and post-sales technical support, customer training, and hands-on demonstrations to drive successful applications.

Ideal candidates will have Milling programming or machining background and a passion for transferring knowledge, with a route to progression and training within a structured global environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with milling machines in a programming or machining role.
• Strong technical knowledge to support customers before and after sales.
• Ability to train operatives and provide technical back-up to customers.

• Provide pre-sales technical support to the Sales Engineers.
• Demonstrate Electro Discharge Machinery to customers.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within this global manufacturer of machining centres, for an Applications Engineer with Milling experienceto join its Coventry based team.

THE ROLE

The role of Applications Engineer within the CNC Milling department is to provide customers with technical engineering requirements, a high level of technical expertise and information both pre and post sales. Ideally you will be based in Birmingham, Leicester, Coventry, Rugby, Northampton, Warwick, Leamington Spa etc.

Duties include:

• Pre Sales technical Support to Sales Engineers
• Demonstrating Electro Discharge Machinery
• Training operatives from the Midlands centre of excellence
• Post Sales technical back up/Customer support

THE PERSON

In order to succeed in the role of Applications Engineer in the Milling team you will ideally be working in a programming or machining role with good experience of Milling machines. This role will also suit a production engineer that is looking to move from a shop floor role into a more professional engineering position that offers excellent benefits, training and progression.
