Job summary

SER Limited is seeking an Applications Engineer to support CNC machine tools across the UK and Ireland. The Midlands-based role involves hands-on training, machine demonstrations, and turnkey projects, with a focus on 5-axis simultaneous machining and Heidenhain control.

You will work with OEMs, aerospace, formula one and motorsport clients, traveling throughout the UK with occasional trips to Ireland. Competitive package includes a base salary of £42,000, 8% bonus, pension and company car.

Qualifications

• Strong background in CNC programming.
• Experience with 5-axis machining, ideally simultaneous 5-axis.
• Heidenhain control experience.
• Previous Applications Engineer experience, or a strong CNC programming background moving into applications.
• Experience delivering customer training and willing to travel UK & Ireland.

Are you an experienced CNC Programmer or Applications Engineer looking for a role where no two days are the same?

We are looking for an Applications Engineer to join a growing machine tool business, supporting customers across the UK and Ireland.

The Role

You will work with a wide range of customers and industries, including OEMs, aerospace, Formula One and motorsport. Your responsibilities will include:

• CNC application support and hands-on technical training
• Machine demonstrations and demo cuts
• Turnkey projects and proving out customer parts
• Programming and supporting 5-axis simultaneous machining
• Supporting customers across the UK and occasional trips to Ireland

What We're Looking For

• Strong background in CNC programming
• Experience with 5-axis machining, ideally simultaneous 5-axis
• Heidenhaincontrol experience
• Previous Applications Engineer experience, or a strong CNC programming background with an interest in moving into applications
• Experience delivering customer trainingComfortable travelling throughout the UK and Ireland
