Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our experienced team in supporting customers across the UK. You will prove out new machines, deliver operator training, develop machining strategies and demonstrate the latest technology to customers and dealers.

The role involves visiting customer sites across the UK and Ireland, installing and commissioning machines, creating CNC programs and tooling strategies, and providing technical support.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC machinery and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of metal cutting processes, tooling and machining methods.
• Ability to develop complete manufacturing processes for components.
• Strong problem-solving skills and practical engineering mindset.
• Confidence communicating with customers, operators and colleagues.
• Willingness to travel UK/ROI and occasional overseas.

Applications Engineer - Industrial Machinery

As our Applications Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their machines, ensuring they achieve the very best performance from their investment.

Responsibilities

Ideal candidate

• Experience and a proven track record a similar position within CNC machinery or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of metal cutting processes, tooling and machining methods.
• The ability to develop complete manufacturing processes for finished components.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a practical engineering mindset.
• Confidence communicating with customers, operators and colleagues.
• The ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a collaborative engineering team.
• A willingness to travel throughout the UK, Ireland and occasionally overseas.
