Job summary

Seismic Recruitment is seeking an Applications Engineer for an established, employee-owned engineering manufacturer. You will bridge Sales, Engineering and the customer, providing technical pre-sales support, translating requirements into system architectures, specifications, drawings, BOMs and configurations to enable accurate quotations and project delivery.

Strong background in customer-facing engineering, system design and documentation is required; proficiency in AutoCAD or EPLAN will be

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical or engineering role.
• Strong technical documentation and system design skills.
• Experience using AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar software.
• Ability to explain complex engineering information clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, AC/DC circuits, EMC principles, ERP or product configuration is useful.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Create system architectures and technical content for quotations.
• Produce specifications, 2D drawings and general assembly drawings.
• Create BOMs and product structures in the ERP system.
• Work with Sales, Engineering, Production, Purchasing and suppliers.
• Coordinate technical approvals and maintain documentation.
• Support product configuration, change control and continuous improvement.
