Job summary

PER International in Newport, UK, is seeking an Application Engineer to bridge Engineering and Sales, developing system architectures and technical specifications to support quotations. You will generate 2D drawings, create product structures, BOMs and routings in the ERP system to enable timely procurement.

Collaborating with Sales, Design, Purchasing and Production, you will maintain engineering documentation, ensure drawings are approved, and communicate with customers and suppliers to fulfil

Qualifications

• Desirable UK Level 3/4 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate into technical specs.
• Experience with 2D drawing tools and standard engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create system architectures and technical content to support sales quotations.
• Generate technical specifications, 2D drawings and assembly drawings from customer needs.
• Create product structures, BOMs and routings in the ERP system for procurement.
• Ensure drawings are approved and available for each works order.
• Compile manuals and technical documents for works orders.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers and internal departments to support delivery.
