Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an Applications Engineer (Inside IR35) based in Stafford. The role focuses on owning project control activity globally and driving consistent specifications and processes for projects, including coordinating a team with 1-2 years of senior experience.

You will interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers and Product Engineering to deliver effective project outcomes within an engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• Experience leading a team for 1–2 years in engineering projects.
• Experience in Engineering/Technology & Customer Project Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and plan project control activities for customer projects.
• Interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, Product Engineering.
• Develop conceptual knowledge within the professional discipline.

Role - Applications Engineer (Inside IR35) Location - Stafford

Own the project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation. (Client is needing someone who has experience running a team, and who can coordinate projects - someone who has worked in a Senior role for 1-2 years)

Activities that are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. Coordination of the daily work within the team and balancing their workload.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Serves as the technical leader/manager to develop a scope of work and plan schedule and monitor engineering activities for customer projects.
• Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors.
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Coordination of daily work within the team.
• Balancing the team’s workload, so that customer requirements are met.
• Defines priorities with the sales team.

Essential skills

Client is needing someone who has experience running a team, and who can coordinate projects - someone who has worked in a Senior role for 1-2 years. This role requires basic experience in the Engineering/Technology & Customer Project Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
