Job Description

We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Business Digital Team as a Graduate Application Support!

The Business Digital Department works closely with IT and local user departments supporting local applications.

Responsible for supporting and maintaining local applications used by Home Comfort Great Britain, maintaining quality documentation, and developing specific solutions to automate manual, logic-driven processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Collaborating with users to develop creative solutions to business problems.
  • Participating in Agile project teams to develop and implement technical requirements.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Investigating new technologies and identifying beneficial use cases.
  • Supporting the Systems Support Leader in providing technical support for local applications.
  • Maintaining asset configuration and managing technical and privileged accounts, including migrating workflows to new RPA tools.
  • Monitoring backups of local applications and servers.
  • Keeping application and process documentation up to date.
  • Supporting the Local Application Coordinator and completing self-checks for applications.
  • Assisting in closing off actions for local applications.
  • Managing the service life cycle of designated applications.
  • Supporting network segmentation projects for local applications.
  • Assisting IT owners with industry-specific IT topics.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate must have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or Business IT.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience in application development, databases, automation, or RPA.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused, reliable, dedicated, and self-motivated.
  • An inquisitive problem-solving mindset.
  • A passion for IT and technology.
  • A quick learner with a methodical, flexible approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Our ideal candidate should also be: proactive, innovative, and adaptable to change.

Right To Work: Ensure you have valid Right To Work in the UK for the duration of the contract. This is a 2-year fixed-term role.

Working hours: 39 hours/week, 08:00-17:00 Mon-Thu, 08:00-16:00 Fri, with a 1-hour lunch break
