Job summary

Noble Recruiting is seeking an Application Support Specialist to maintain and support our core business applications in Manchester. You will ensure high availability, monitor performance, and provide 2nd line incident resolution to keep systems running smoothly.

You will work with IT teams and third-party vendors, manage patching and releases, and help improve processes in line with ITIL principles. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex IT services and proactive monitoring.
• Experience maintaining business applications and solving issues.
• Knowledge of relational databases and line of business systems.
• Experience overseeing multiple 3rd party service providers.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure: hardware, OS, networks.
• Awareness of information security threats and mitigations.
• Understanding ITIL change, incident, problem, and release processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with end users.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support business applications to ensure availability and performance.
• Provide 2nd line incident resolution, problem solving, and problem management.
• Manage patching and lifecycle maintenance of business applications; deploy and test releases.
• Participate in planning and implementation of service delivery processes.
• Fulfil service requests and provisioning per agreed designs and solutions.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledgebase articles and SOPs.
