Job summary

The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) in Manchester is seeking an Application Support and Development Engineer. You will manage key applications built on Microsoft technologies (Power Platform, SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365), develop new tools, and ensure smooth operation of systems.

You will split time between improving services, building solutions, supporting users, and delivering projects while maintaining security and documentation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience of Microsoft technologies, M365 suite, Power Platform, Power Apps, Azure, SharePoint online.
• Desirable knowledge of SQL Server and Power BI.
• Ability to manage own workload prioritising where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Improve services and build new solutions across PHSO’s key applications and databases.
• Support users and help deliver projects.
• Keep systems secure, up to date and well documented; work may occur outside normal hours for upgrades or maintenance.
• Collaborate with teams across the organisation to create systems that support efficiency.
