Job summary

Fourth is seeking an Application Architect to shape the architecture of core strategic initiatives. You will provide hands-on leadership within delivery teams, applying architecture standards while evolving practices to enable scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions across our platform.

You will collaborate with engineers, leads, and architects to translate requirements into pragmatic, high-quality technology, champion engineering excellence, and drive AI-assisted software

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in application architecture and engineering.
• Knowledge of modern design patterns (microservices, event-driven, layered).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and SaaS environments.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages and SDLC understanding.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their role in software development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver architectural designs and standards for strategic projects.
• Provide hands-on architectural leadership within delivery teams.
• Evolve architecture standards and engineering principles with practical delivery.
• Produce technical documentation and ensure long-term maintainability.
• Participate in reviews and ensure alignment with architectural direction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality solutions.
• Own architectural direction and balance business objectives with technical quality.
• Identify risks and remediation plans for architecture debt and improvements.
• Design AI-assisted practices, tooling, and delivery pipelines.
