**Job Description:**

This position supports information technology applications through planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing systems such as electronic health records, registration, scheduling, billing, labs, radiology, PACS, pharmacy, home care, long-term care, population health, patient-facing technologies, enterprise resource planning, workforce scheduling, time and attendance, and customer relationship management.

+ The Staff Analyst provides technical support, configuration, and maintenance throughout the application lifecycle, including selection, implementation, support, archival, and decommissioning.

+ The role may involve managing small projects related to these applications and maintaining necessary certifications (e.g., Epic).

+ Performs essential functions independently with minimal supervision, handling standard duties proficiently.

Essential Functions
  1. Supports stakeholders by analyzing and diagnosing problems to determine resolutions.
  2. Gathers, validates, and translates technical requirements into design and development specifications, including product management.
  3. Configures, tests, installs, implements, monitors, and maintains complex systems (applications, workflows, hardware).
  4. Documents and recommends workflow changes and technical/functional designs to meet business needs.
  5. Partners with external vendors for third-party application support, integration, and troubleshooting.
  6. Addresses common issues and incidents according to service levels and department standards.
  7. Manages small to mid-size projects as project manager, coordinating multiple teams.
  8. Collaborates with peers, stakeholders, and vendors.
  9. Follows documentation and change management standards.
  10. Develops training and knowledge materials for peers and end-users.
  11. Configures and integrates hardware with software to meet client specifications.
  12. Develops understanding of business reporting needs.
  13. Participates in on-call and command center duties, if applicable.
  14. Assists in testing to verify system outputs and integrity.
  15. Attends team, project, and department meetings to enhance communication.
  16. Works with project requestors to develop minimum viable products via ServiceHub.
  17. Requests resources for projects and enhancements through ServiceHub Resource Plan.
Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (pivot tables), Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Deep business and application knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of system analysis and operating systems.
  • Skills in needs assessment and documentation of best approaches.
  • Competence in problem definition and data collection.
  • Ability to interpret industry publications, technical procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong written communication skills for correspondence and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, healthcare, business, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute with approval.

Experience: Two years of related work experience or working towards a bachelor's degree with four years' experience. Epic Willow certification or pharmacy technician background with Epic end-user experience is preferred.

  • Operate computers and IT equipment requiring manual dexterity.
  • Visual acuity to read monitors and documents.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Work Hours

40 hours per week

Compensation

Hourly rate: $31.78 - $50.07, dependent on experience.
