Job summary

Randstad Student & Worker Support seeks an Academic Support Worker to provide one-to-one assistance to a university student with an Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) at the UCA Farnham campus. You will help bridge communication gaps, extract key information, and support post-class reflection.

The role focuses on in-class guidance, real-time prompts, and structured follow-up sessions to reinforce learning and ensure deadlines are met in a higher education environment.

Qualifications

• Confidence in liaising with academic staff and advocating for a student.

Responsibilities

• In-Class Support: Real-time assistance during lectures and practical classes with visual prompts and information extraction.
• Post-Class Clarification Sessions: Short follow-up to review material and fill in gaps.
• Liaison with teaching staff to communicate student needs and clarify concepts.
