Job summary

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a leadership role to manage a cluster of Approved Premises within the National Probation Service. You will lead strategic direction, allocate resources, and coordinate across sites to ensure safe, effective delivery.

You will provide out-of-hours cover, engage with external stakeholders, uphold equality policies, and oversee risk management and safeguarding duties. The post requires strong people management and a commitment to public protection.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a multi-site public sector environment.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources across a cluster.
• Understanding of safeguarding and MAPPA principles would be beneficial.
• Ability to lead teams and develop operational policy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership and innovation in strategy and operational delivery.
• Deliver performance and quality targets.
• Manage devolved budget for the AP Cluster and allocate resources effectively.
• Engage with stakeholders and represent the AP cluster externally.
• Provide on call cover and respond to out-of-hours demands.
• Ensure health and safety and estates responsibilities for the AP Cluster.
• Carry out safeguarding duties in line with policy and statutory responsibilities.
