Job summary

Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) seeks an Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Specialist in Reading. You will manage day-to-day AP/AR tasks, process invoices, and ensure accurate ledgers for the JV during its early growth, laying robust foundations for its finance function.

You will perform reconciliations, prepare payment schedules with Treasury, collaborate with Sales and suppliers, and support month-end close while driving process improvements. Reporting to the AP&AR Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong curiosity about figures.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Flexible to changes and proactive in pursuing process improvements.
• Practical experience in AP, AR, or both and basic bookkeeping knowledge.
• Excel proficiency; ERP systems such as SAP would be an advantage.
• Language proficiency in Japanese or Italian would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Post payable invoices accurately and timely.
• Reconcile AP subledger balances with supplier invoices.
• Verify payments through 3-way matching and resolve GRNI exceptions.
• Prepare payment schedules aligned with due dates with Treasury.
• Review Non-PO and ad-hoc payments.
• Manage aged creditor reviews and GRNI.
