Job summary

SmartestEnergy UK is seeking a proactive transactional finance professional to support AP and AR, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, payments, receipts and reconciliations and maintaining reliable records in Workday.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, handle day-to-day finance queries, investigate discrepancies and contribute to automation to improve efficiency, accuracy and service levels across the finance function.

Qualifications

• Studying towards AAT, or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant finance experience;
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and Outlook;
• Open to using Microsoft Copilot and AI tools appropriately to support efficient, accurate and improved ways of working;
• Accurate, organised and dependable, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities;
• Collaborative and customer-focused, with clear and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, accurate transactional finance service across AP and AR.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts and reconciliations on time.
• Manage day-to-day finance queries and maintain records in Workday.
• Investigate discrepancies and support automation of processes.
