Job summary

Storm Aviation in Stansted is seeking a Maintenance Control Centre Engineer to lead AOG recoveries and manage special projects. The role provides a single point of contact for all AOG communications, coordinating internal capabilities and trusted suppliers to restore aircraft quickly and safely.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00, with occasional travel for on-site support. Candidates should have recognised aircraft maintenance qualifications or extensive aviation experience, and

Qualifications

  • Recognised apprenticeship in aircraft maintenance or Part-66 licence or university degree in a related field, or a minimum of five years' relevant aviation experience.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and aviation safety policies is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are required.
  • Proven ability to lead change initiatives and drive productivity improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver bespoke AOG recovery and project plans with timelines, resource requirements, and critical path activities.
  • Manage AOG recoveries and special projects globally, ensuring safety and efficiency to minimise disruption.
  • Maintain proactive, clear communication with internal and external stakeholders and support budget control.
  • Assist Operations Manager with day-to-day MCC operations and procurement/logistics support.
