We have an exciting, fixed-term opportunity for a band 6 midwife to join the Antenatal and Newborn Screening Team.

The role involves supporting the coordination of three antenatal screening programmes and the newborn bloodspot screening programme. You will counsel individuals who test positive and act as an ambassador and local expert for safe screening within our maternity service.

Operating multiple screening programmes offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in areas beyond your current midwifery roles. The team is friendly, providing a kind, effective, and supportive environment for those receiving positive screening results.

You will develop skills in supporting non-directed conversations with pregnant individuals and benefit from multidisciplinary collaborations with stakeholders such as Fetal Medicine, Sexual Health, Neonatal, Haematology, and Laboratory colleagues.

The role involves flexible working hours across the week, with some weekend work as workload demands.
