University of Liverpool at Leahurst Campus invites an enthusiastic individual to join a small team caring for dairy cattle and other livestock across Wood Park Farm and Ness Heath farm near Neston on the Wirral.
You will work a 35-hour week with additional overtime, supporting teaching programmes with undergraduate vet students and staff, and performing milking, feeding, stock management and tractor operations. Weekend rota applies.
An excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join a small team working with Dairy cattle on Wood Park Farm and some involvement with sheep and pigs across on Ness Heath farm on the University of Liverpool's Leahurst Campus, near Neston, on the Wirral.
Main duties will be working in a small team to provide care and routine husbandry of all farm livestock. You will be working alongside other staff, with undergraduate vet students, works experience students, vets and academics and other stake holders.
You will have knowledge and experience of working with people and farm animals acquired via a period of structured training. You will also be expected to assist other staff in all teaching programmes with undergraduate vet students and to have good communication skills.
The post is a permanent position of 35 hours per week with expected additional 10 hours overtime per week, subject to seasonal variation, and weekend work on a shared rota.
