Job summary

Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust is seeking an experienced animal registrar to maintain electronic records for the living collection and to support the living collection teams across WWT’s zoos. The role requires knowledge of zoo licensing, animal moves, CITES, ZIMs, and DEFRA compliance, and may include occasional travel to centres.

You will work 37.5 hours weekly at WWT Slimbridge, with strong IT skills (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and a biology background, enabling effective data management and

Qualifications

• Educated to A level or equivalent in a biological discipline.
• Experience in a similar position within a zoological institution.
• Strong IT skills, especially Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate electronic records of the living collection.
• Support living collection teams across WWT’s Zoos.
• Ensure compliance with zoo licencing, animal moves, CITES, ZIMs and DEFRA.
• Manage and prioritise your own workload; travel to centres as needed.
