Job summary

WWT Slimbridge is seeking a professional animal registrar to maintain accurate electronic records of our living collection and to support living collection teams across the organisation. You will work alongside the animal health care teams, ensuring compliance with zoo licensing, CITES, DEFRA and related legislation, with occasional travel to other centres as needed.

The role is 37.5 hours per week, based at WWT Slimbridge, and requires IT skills including Excel, Outlook and SharePoint, plus a

Qualifications

• Educated to A level or equivalent in a biological discipline or related field.
• Experience in a similar position within a zoological institution with thorough understanding of record-keeping practices and data management.
• Strong IT skills, especially Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate electronic records of the living collection.
• Support living collection teams across WWT’s zoos.
• Manage and prioritise own workload; ensure compliance with zoo licensing, CITES, ZIMs and DEFRA.
