WWT Slimbridge is seeking a professional animal registrar to maintain accurate electronic records of our living collection and to support living collection teams across the organisation. You will work alongside the animal health care teams, ensuring compliance with zoo licensing, CITES, DEFRA and related legislation, with occasional travel to other centres as needed.

We are looking for a professional, experienced and knowledgeable animal registrar who will be responsible for maintaining accurate electronic records of our living collection and for supporting our living collection teams across WWT’s Zoos. Working alongside the living collection and animal health care teams, the successful candidate will bring a clear understanding of the legislation relating to zoo licencing, animal moves, CITES, ZIMs, DEFRA with an ability to ensure compliance across a national organisation. You will be expected to manage and prioritise your own varied workload to best support the business needs, this may include occasional travel to our centres.
This role is for 37.5 hours per week and will be based at WWT Slimbridge.
