The SMB Group is a highly successful FE college, formed through the merger of Stephenson College and Brooksby Melton College. We are an innovative and highly responsive centre for education and training with campuses in Coalville, Melton Mowbray, and Brooksby.
We have exciting opportunities for two full-time Animal Care Technicians to join our team at Brooksby, working on fixed-term contracts to cover maternity leave. These roles involve maintaining high standards of animal husbandry and supporting the curriculum needs of the Animal Care department. You will work alongside dedicated staff and interact with students, working with a variety of animal species. These positions offer a great opportunity to support the growth and development of our practical Animal Care facilities.
Working days are Monday to Friday for the first role and Tuesday to Friday for the second. Both candidates will work weekends on a rota basis, 1:4 half days on Saturday and Sunday, with a compensatory day off the following week.
