TEC Partnership is seeking an Animal Care Technician to support daily care and welfare of animals in our training facilities. You will maintain high husbandry standards, ensure clean and safe accommodation, and help learners develop practical animal care skills.

The role requires experience with animals in professional, educational or commercial settings, with strong knowledge of animal welfare, health and safety, and good communication to support tutors and work as part of a team.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Animal Care Technician to support the daily care and welfare of animals within our training facilities. The successful candidate will maintain high standards of animal husbandry, ensure animal accommodation is clean and safe, and assist learners in developing practical animal care skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about animal care who enjoys supporting both animals and learners in a professional educational environment.

The successful candidate will be experienced in working with animals in a professional, educational or commercial setting. With sound knowledge of animal welfare, husbandry and health and safety practices, you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support tutors and work effectively as part of a team. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment are key, alongside a proactive, reliable and flexible approach to work.

TEC Partnership is made up of four colleges, two training providers, a 14-16 provision and a nursery, stretching from Scarborough to Skegness with a Nottingham based campus also.
