Job summary

HMP Forest Bank is recruiting an Anglican Chaplain to join a multi-faith Chaplaincy Team on a part-time basis. The role focuses on pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and rehabilitation support within a secure prison environment.

Salary is £20,432.55 per annum plus Sodexo benefits, with 20 hours per week and flexible working hours. Experience in chaplaincy and Anglican endorsement are required to fulfill this important role.

Qualifications

• Experience in chaplaincy, ministry, or similar pastoral care roles.
• Recognition/endorsement from Anglican faith authorities.
• Ability to work in a diverse, multi-faith environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Pastoral support experience, including crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to prisoners and staff.
• Facilitate religious services, prayers, and faith-based teaching.
• Support the rehabilitation and reintegration process for prisoners.
• Build links with local faith communities to support rehabilitation.
• Work in collaboration within a multi-faith chaplaincy team.
