Tripadvisor is seeking a Software Engineer II (Android) to join our mobile team. The role is open to candidates within commuting distance of Oxford or London and embraces a remote-first model with periodic in-person gatherings.

You will work with product managers and designers on Android systems, with a stack including Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, GraphQL, and MVVM. You’ll contribute across the full stack, be involved in code, tests, deployment, and ongoing maintenance, and have

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience developing an Android app.
• Experience with reactive programming on native mobile platforms.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and own features.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Examples of working with globally distributed teams.
• Familiarity with backend and mobile web is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Code across Android systems and occasional backend microservices.
