Job summary

The Anatomy Centre within the Department of Physiology, Development & Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge is seeking an Anatomy Support Technician to join its busy team. You will support practical teaching for both Human and Veterinary anatomy across Dissection Rooms and contribute to the integrated anatomy service.

Responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, maintaining equipment, and assisting with specialised preparation, embalming, and storage.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE/NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in science or equivalent practical experience.
• Good organisational and IT skills, with ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to interact with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support practical class teaching for Human and Veterinary Dissection Rooms.
• Prepare teaching materials and specimens.
• Maintain equipment and facilities.
• Assist in specialised preparation, embalming and storage areas.
• Collaborate with staff to support shared resources and best practices.
