Howden Re invites driven undergraduates in their penultimate year of a STEM, Economics, or Geography degree to join a 10-week analytics programme in London. You’ll work on real client projects, learn to assess risks from events like wildfires and earthquakes, and help translate findings into clear business insights.

No prior insurance experience is required; successful participants may receive a deferred graduate offer for Autumn 2028 and benefit from structured development and mentoring.

The 10-week programme is designed to give you meaningful exposure to the world of reinsurance, while helping you develop the knowledge, professional skills and confidence to kick start your career.

What you'll be doing?

You will begin with a structured induction before joining the Analytics team to work alongside experienced specialists on real client projects.

During the programme, you'll:

• Learn how to assess risks from real events such as wildfires and earthquakes.
• Produce reports and presentations for internal teams and clients.
• Work with datasets to improve the quality and accuracy of risk analysis.
• Help translate complex analytical findings into clear business insights.
• Collaborate with brokers and analytics specialists on client projects.

Who are we looking for?

No insurance experience is needed; we'll teach you everything you need to know!

You'll:

• Be in your penultimate year of a STEM, Economics or Geography degree.
• Have achieved a minimum B grade in A-level Mathematics.
• Be curious about data, research, and commercial analysis.
• Enjoy working with numbers and solving problems.
• Communicate confidently and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
