Expedia Group is building an AI-native analytics platform and needs engineers who can blend software development with data analytics. You will design and ship analytics-driven features, working with AI tools, data models, and scalable services.

The role combines backend, data engineering, and AI-powered analytics, requiring hands-on coding, testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, decision-ready insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development delivering production-quality applications or services.
• Experience owning features or services in analytics/data/product engineering with implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in software engineering fundamentals: programming, version control, automated testing, API development, data modeling, system design.
• Bias to action with ownership; able to take unclear problems from idea to reliable solution.
• Foundational understanding of analytics and data, including metrics and data usage for decision making.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools and reviewing generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable software solutions for analytics products across the full software development lifecycle.
• Apply system design, low-level design, API design, and data modeling to build scalable, maintainable services used by people and AI agents.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Diagnose complex technical issues, improve performance and reliability, and contribute to operational excellence through testing and monitoring.
• Develop technical aptitude across domains, applying engineering practices to backend services, data workflows, and AI-powered analytics products.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions with certified metrics and outputs checked for accuracy.
