Job summary

Marks & Spencer Group is seeking a senior analytics leader to guide and grow a high-performing team of analysts. You will partner with Retail and Central Store Operations leaders to identify opportunities, shape analytical priorities and deliver data-driven insights that enhance customer, colleague and commercial outcomes.

Lead and shape the future of Retail and Central Store Operations through the power of analytics, AI and experimentation. Lead a team of analysts to tackle complex business challenges, uncover opportunities at scale and turn data into decisions that improve customer, colleague and commercial outcomes. Working alongside business, product and engineering teams, you'll set analytical direction, drive innovation and develop a high-performing team focused on delivering measurable impact across M&S

What You'll do

Your key accountabilities will include

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of analysts, creating an inclusive culture focused on impact and continuous improvement.

• Partner with Retail and Central Store Operations leaders to identify opportunities, shape analytical priorities and focus the team on the areas of greatest business value.

• Lead the delivery of analytics, insight and data products that improve customer, colleague, commercial and operational outcomes.

• Champion experimentation, AI, automation and self-service analytics, improving how decisions are made and increasing analytical productivity.

• Work across Data, Product, Engineering and Technology to develop trusted, scalable analytical solutions and capabilities.

• Promote strong analytical standards, including robust measurement, governance, storytelling and evidence-based decision making.

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing analytical teams.

• Strong analytics and insight experience within Retail or a similarly complex operational environment, translating data into actionable recommendations and measurable business outcomes.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, partnering with senior leaders to shape priorities and drive evidence-based decision making.

• Experience applying modern analytics approaches, including AI, automation and experimentation, to solve business problems and identify new opportunities.
