Job summary

Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions is seeking a Project Leader for its Central R&D Innovation Centre in East Leake to drive development of innovative products, analytical methods and technical solutions. You will lead multiple projects, translate complex data into insights for product development, quality improvement and customer solutions, and collaborate with teams across the UK, Europe and globally.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Chemistry, Materials Science, Analytical Science or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience in an analytical laboratory environment using techniques such as XRF, XRD, TGA, microscopy, SEM/EDX or similar analytical instrumentation.
• Proven experience leading technical investigations, method development projects or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate across functions, teams and global locations.
• Naturally curious and proactive, with the ability to identify problems, generate insights from data and drive solutions through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Leading and delivering multiple analytical and innovation projects that support product development and customer requirements.
• Developing and improving analytical development methods to support gypsum-based solutions.
• Interpreting analytical data and translating findings into actionable recommendations for R&D and manufacturing teams.
• Acting as a key technical partner to global project teams, providing specialist analytical expertise across Saint-Gobain's gypsum businesses.
• Building strong relationships across international R&D networks, identifying opportunities to share knowledge, improve processes and solve complex technical challenges.
