Job summary

Burns Sheehan Limited is recruiting an Analytics Engineer on an outside IR35 contract in London with hybrid working. You will take over regulatory, tax and card scheme reporting and drive automation across the data team.

You will build dbt, SQL and Airflow pipelines, replacing manual steps, and ensure documentation, alerting, and handover readiness. Close collaboration with Legal, Tax and Finance is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on analytics engineering experience with dbt, SQL, Python.
• Experience handling regulatory or financial data with audit timelines.
• Willing to do manual work while building automated solutions.

Responsibilities

• Run and validate regulatory, tax and card scheme reports; ensure deadlines are met.
• Replace Python scripts, Looker exports and connected sheets with production-grade pipelines.
• Be the go-to data partner for Legal, Tax and Finance; support regulator queries.
• Write runbooks and document operating patterns; set alerting standards.
