Job summary

Lupa is building an AI-native operating system for veterinary practices and pet parents, redefining how data powers decisions across the platform from Paddington, London HQ.

The Analytics Engineer role owns the data analytics layer, crafts SQL models, and collaborates with product, engineering and commerce teams to deliver reliable metrics and dashboards. You’ll turn messy data into clean datasets and trusted insights to drive growth.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in an analytics engineering, SQL engineering, or BI engineering role.
• Exceptional SQL skills; write complex queries and care about data model readability.
• Solid experience with data modelling and scalable analytics layers (dbt preferred).
• Comfortable with large messy datasets and turning them into clean, reliable data.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS or health-tech startup is a plus; familiarity with BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the analytics layer of our data platform; write, structure, and maintain SQL models for dashboards and product metrics.
• Transform raw data into clean, well-documented datasets for Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams.
• Build and maintain reports showing clinical outcomes, practice performance, customer health, and growth metrics.
• Define and enforce data modelling best practices, naming conventions, documentation standards, and testing coverage.
• Partner with the Data team to ensure analytics models sit on solid, well-engineered pipelines.
• Work with stakeholders to translate needs into clean SQL and deliver actionable insights.
