Job summary

TRIA is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer on a contract to help build a modern data platform and deliver actionable insights across the business.

You will own data pipelines in Python, design Snowflake models, optimise performance, and enable Power BI reporting while aligning with CI/CD and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Snowflake.
• Advanced SQL and production-grade Python.
• Experience building modern ELT pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience supporting reporting and analytics through Power BI.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD practices, and modern engineering standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Python to ingest data from multiple source systems.
• Design and develop dimensional data models within Snowflake.
• Optimise Snowflake performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Deliver high-quality datasets and analytics for Power BI reporting and business intelligence.
• Develop and maintain ELT processes using tools such as dbt or SQLMesh.
• Implement data engineering best practices across CI/CD, GitHub, testing, and governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.

We're supporting a rapidly growing UK organisation that is investing heavily in its in-house data capability and modern analytics platform. They are looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to play a key role in developing scalable data solutions and delivering high‑quality business insights.

The Opportunity

This is a hands‑on contract position where you'll help build and enhance a modern data platform, working closely with stakeholders across the business to turn complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Python to ingest data from multiple source systems
• Design and develop dimensional data models within Snowflake
• Optimise Snowflake performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Deliver high‑quality datasets and analytics for Power BI reporting and business intelligence
• Develop and maintain ELT processes using tools such as dbt or SQLMesh
• Implement data engineering best practices across CI/CD, GitHub, testing, and governance
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions

Required Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Snowflake

The contract will initially be 3-4 months with the possibility of extension.
