Job summary

Globachem Discovery is seeking an Analytical Scientist to contribute to the development of analytical services within Crop Protection R&D. You will perform hands-on laboratory analyses, develop new analytical methods, and maintain instrumentation across the lab.

You will apply MS/HPLC/GC-FID techniques, carry out log D and solubility assays, and analyse proteins. Collaboration across disciplines is essential to deliver high-quality results, reporting to the Operating Officer.

Qualifications

• You hold a BSc, MSc or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
• 4 years of industry experience are desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with troubleshooting experience on Waters and Agilent instruments.
• You are eager to learn, a strong team player and have excellent problem-solving skills.
• You are proactive, take initiative and think outside the box.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of analytical services within Crop Protection R&D.
• Perform hands-on laboratory analyses and provide practical analytical support.
• Develop and implement new analytical methods and services.
• Maintain analytical instrumentation and troubleshoot instruments.
• Apply UPLC-MS, HPLC, GC-FID, and UPLC-TQMS techniques.
• Carry out high-throughput log D and solubility assays.
• Analyse proteins using appropriate analytical techniques.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to deliver high-quality results.
• Report to the Operating Officer.
