Job summary

Globachem Discovery is seeking an Analytical Scientist to contribute to analytical services in Crop Protection R&D. You will perform hands-on laboratory analyses, develop methods, and maintain instrumentation to support evolving R&D needs.

You will work with UPLC-MS, HPLC, GC-FID and UPLC-TQMS, carry out log D and solubility assays, and analyse proteins, collaborating with colleagues across disciplines. You will report to the Operating Officer and bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset, with

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
• 4 years of industry experience desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience troubleshooting Waters and Agilent instruments in an analytical laboratory environment.
• Eager to learn and apply new knowledge; strong problem-solving skills.

Job description

As an Analytical Scientist, you will contribute to the development of Globachem Discovery’s analytical services within the field of Crop Protection Research & Development. You will combine hands-on laboratory analysis, method development and scientific problem-solving to provide practical support across the business.

You perform hands‑on laboratory analyses and provide practical analytical support for Globachem’s R&D activities.

You develop and implement new analytical methods and services to support evolving R&D needs.

You are responsible for maintaining the analytical instrumentation at Globachem Discovery.

You apply different analytical techniques, including UPLC-MS, HPLC, GC-FID and UPLC-TQMS.

You carry out high-throughput log D and solubility assays.

You analyse proteins using appropriate analytical techniques.

You collaborate with colleagues from different scientific disciplines to solve analytical challenges and deliver high-quality results.

You will report to the Operating Officer.

You hold a BSc, MSc or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline. 4 years of experience in the industry is desirable.

You are proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience troubleshooting Waters and Agilent instruments in an analytical laboratory environment.

You are eager to learn and confidently put new knowledge into practice.

You are a strong team player with a can-do attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
