Job summary

Sheffield Hallam University is seeking a Technician in Technical Operations & Resource Services within the Student & Academic Support team. The role enables students and researchers to access our laboratory facilities and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment.

You will provide demonstrations, training and support for users, and contribute to day-to-day facility management including preparing materials and equipment.

Qualifications

• Analytical chemistry experience
• Laboratory safety knowledge
• Aptitude to learn new techniques and train students

Responsibilities

• Provide demonstrations, training and user support for laboratory facilities
• Assist with day-to-day management of the labs and prepare materials/equipment
• Support School of Biosciences and Chemistry and other lab areas (Food, Nutrition, Chemical Engineering)
