Job summary

Capital City College is seeking a dedicated Chemistry Technician to support and drive the science laboratories at the Angel campus in London. This full-time, permanent role involves assisting staff and students, maintaining equipment, and delivering high-quality practical lessons in Chemistry.

You will join a friendly team of about 10 colleagues, contribute to health and safety standards, and help develop science resources while providing reliable technical support to ensure smooth learning

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Confident in collaborating with staff and students and delivering high-quality practical lessons, with essential experience in Chemistry.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Preparing apparatus, materials and setting up equipment for practical classes and investigations; setting up demonstrations and clearing up.
• General maintenance and cleaning of apparatus and laboratory facilities.
• Safe storage and maintenance of stores in accordance with current legislations; advise the chief science technician.
