Job description

A leading pharmaceutical company in the South East is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join its pharmaceutical analysis division. This role presents an excellent opportunity for analysts from sectors such as environmental, food, water, or chemical testing to transition into pharmaceuticals and develop valuable new skills.

As a Laboratory Analyst, you will prepare and analyse pharmaceutical samples using advanced analytical techniques, including HPLC and LC-MS, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Requirements:
  1. Degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent laboratory experience.
  2. Knowledge of HPLC and LC-MS analytical techniques.
  3. Strong IT skills with the ability to manage data and calculations.
  4. Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Understanding of laboratory safety, chemical handling, and regulatory procedures (COSHH, GxP, ISO, UKAS).
  6. Previous experience in a laboratory environment (preferred but not essential).
Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct sample analysis using various analytical techniques.
  2. Identify and report data anomalies while ensuring accuracy.
  3. Perform lab investigations and interpret analytical methods.
  4. Work with client products and processes, occasionally liaising with clients.
  5. Manage workloads efficiently and meet deadlines.
  6. Support process improvements and training initiatives.
