LGC ASSURE Sports & Specialised Analytical Services is an internationally recognised testing laboratory specialising in banned substance and anti-doping testing. We operate in three key categories: Animal sports medication and doping control, Human drug testing, and Supplement testing and product certification.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, proactive Scientist to join our Animal Sports team! You will provide a quality analytical chemistry service to clients such as the BHA, IHRB, FEI, and GBGB. Responsibilities include planning and conducting sample extraction and detection in accordance with ISO17025, maintaining scientific equipment (including mass spectrometers), interpreting analytical data, and presenting results and conclusions. Flexibility to perform additional analyses and investigations is essential.

We seek a team player who works proactively, communicates confidently, and possesses strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is hardworking, positive, efficient in time management, and capable of improving output and efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Degree in biological or chemical sciences
  • Experience with mass spectrometry, especially GC-MS and LC-MS
  • Excellent laboratory skills
  • Knowledge of chromatography and related techniques
